We all love a good selfie. Something that will remind us of those days where we got a whole face of on-fleek makeup. Well, if you are a seasoned selfie taker, you would obviously know which part of your face is the best angle, what background is the nicest, which lighting accentuates your features more and etc… but do you know that your makeup can also make or break your selfie?
These are a few beauty mistakes you need to avoid:
1. Foundation With SPF
Even though SPF or sunscreen is great for you when you are heading out during the day and the sun is shining brightly, but if you know you are going to take photos during the day, please do avoid using any products with SPF value because it will cause flashback. Trust me, it’s not pretty.
2. Not Setting Your Concealer
If you think you are done with your concealer after hiding those blemishes and dark circles with a few dab of concealer, you are so far from being right. Without setting it, concealer can shift and crease which can reveal your dirty secret (those dark circles! Ugh!) and make you look older.
3. Going crazy with the highlight
Yea, we get it, you love your highlighters but too much of it can make you look like Tin Man because of the amount of shine you are radiating. That’s not just it, massive amount og highlighter can also emphasize the large pores and uneven texture on your face.
Yes, you need to set your makeup. No, you do not have to apply excessive amount to your face to make your makeup stay. Applying too much powder can make your skin look dull and lifeless. So try to limit the powder to the under eyes and on those oily T-zone areas.
