Being bored with your life is normal. But we must know when we need to go on a holiday before our life becomes unbearable for us to handle. How invigorating it can be for you to travel alone with the ability to decide where to go, when to leave and what you want to do. It is however uncommon for women to travel alone. Most of the time, you will most probably receive comments telling you how dangerous it is for us to go on a trip all by ourselves. All hope is not lost though. There are multiple destinations that are totally safe for us to visit. From energetic metropolis to serene hillside, you can be sure to find that dream holiday you have been longing for. The best part: the world is not as dangerous and complicated like how we think it is.

1. Melbourne, Australia
Not wanting to wander too far away from home? Well, we all know the “Land Down Under” is a perfect place to visit if you want a mix of live music, praise-worthy food and lively culture. Being named as the cultural capital of Australia, Melbourne offers you with a variety of gardens, theatres, galleries and museums.

2. Chiang Mai,Thailand
Only comfortable with heading to places in Southeast Asia? Chiang Mai is the perfect holiday destination for you. Nestled comfortably on Northern Thailand’s foothills, insta-worthy dreamy picturesque photos are within your reach. Nicknamed as the “rose of the north”, this is a city you would not want to miss if you prefer quiet and green places than a bustling city.

3. Hong Kong
Being one of the world’s biggest and busiest cities, Hong Kong is a great place for female solo travellers to head to because surely, you would not want to miss the tasty Xi Mut Nai Cha (Hong Kong style Milk Tea) or Gai Dan Zai (Egg Waffle).  Other than stuffing yourself full with delicious foods, you can also visit Hong Kong without worries as it is considered one of the safest cities in the world. There is another great thing to keep in mind: Hong Kong is known as a shopping paradise.

4. Copenhagen, Denmark
The bike-friendly capital of Denmark is without doubt one of the safest and most interesting place to travel to in Europe. Beckoning you in with its nightlife and culture, immersed yourself in its breath-taking scenery and architecture. Packed with exquisite boutique, shopping for souvenirs will never be hard.

5. Palawan, Philippines
Home to dramatic cliffs, bluish emerald green water and jungle-filled mountains that give you the illusion of it rising up from the ocean, there is a lot of activities you could do here. From island hopping (you might get to see the Palawan Bearcat) to scuba diving, Palawan is no doubt a paradise on earth.
