Weird symptoms you will get when you are PMS-ing

Many people experience PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome) on a regular basis (if you don't, congratulation and I'm jealous of you). It is that weird moment where you suddenly feel blue, down, dreary and hopeless. The sky is grey and people are annoying. The world is ending as far as you know it. The next day you see that red spot on your underwear and you understand that "You are not a weak woman." These feelings you get are common symptoms associated with PMS but what if I tell you, things get a little bit weird and bizarre for some of us. Following are the strange symptoms some girls get before they bleed.

1. Body Dysmorphia
Looking into the mirror, you feel disgusted by the sight you see. A woman with bloated body and pimpled skin. You somehow see yourself as the worst monster than anything you had ever laid your eyes on. This is normal though because it’s hard to feel good about yourself when you are breaking out and more bloated than usual. Just remember to tell yourself that you are a great person, with or without those horrendous physical traits.

Green Hulking All Day Every Day
There will be one or two days before my period where I would be annoyed by anything that dares to come near me. The more they breathe, the more annoyed I am. These are the days where I would lash out the most. I have friends who will also argue with their boyfriend more than usual during this period. What can we do, blame it on the hormones!!!

You are Clumsier than Usual
This is the “walking coolly down the street before your feet get tangle up and you fall face first towards the floor” kinda clumsy. It’s embarrassing I know, but don’t beat yourself up over it. It is known that high estrogen level trigger your liver to make hormones that affect our kidney and this in turn causes fluid retention to the brain and body, which can slow them down. Yea, now you know you are not stupid.

4. Emotional Responses towards Everything
I had once bawled my eyes out after watching a video about dogs just being… cute. Or you could be watching videos of babies eating and drinking, the next thing you know, you are wailing loudly while shoving ice cream into your mouth. These things happen for a reason. Your body releases a hormone known as oestrogen which can bring you on an emotional rollercoaster.
