Concealer Hacks Tuesday

Posted on September 26, 2017 by Emily Khor

Only had a 4 hour sleep last night? A little bit of concealer on your dark circles, ta-da, you look brand new! A big-red angry pimple on your forehead? Dab dab and you will have a perfect makeup look. But what if I tell you there are tips and hacks out there that will help you better utilize your concealer.

1. Orange/Peach/Salmon Color Concealer

This type of concealer will cancel out the blue shadows your under-eye circles give off. Dab it on with your ring finger, your weakest finger. This method will have just the right amount of pressure to blend the concealer in without tugging at your delicate eye skin.

2. Flattering Concealer

Apply your concealer on your dark circle in a triangular shape with the base under you eye and the point towards your cheek. This trick will not only conceal your dark circle, it will also instantly create the look of a lifted face.

3. Tinted Moisturizer

Make your version of a tinted moisturizer by adding your daily face lotion with a little bit of the concealer that you are using. Not only does this tinted moisturizer help to hydrate your skin, you will also have a subtle, tinted finish on your face.

4. Eye Primer

If you can’t bring yourself to spend a fortune on eye shadow primer, a dab of concealer and finishing powder on your lid will work just as well. This will effectively prevent the unsightly phenomenon of eye shadow fallout.

5. Foundation 1st

If you are going to put on foundation/BB cream/CC cream, make sure it is applied before the concealer. If you apply concealer first, however you’ll remove most of it while applying your foundation. Plus, you won’t need to use excessive amount of concealer this way.

If you are a busy girl who is constantly on the run, a stick concealer like CITY COLOR Cover & Go Concealer would be perfect for those moments when you need to touch up on the concealer that has melt off your face. It's convenient and has great coverage that help you look flawless from day to night.
